Ultra-Wideband (UWB) is a high data rate, low range, low power wireless technology.

The FCC has allocated the 3.1-10.6 GHz spectrum for license free use of UWB transmission at a maximum output power of -41.25 dBm 75 MW/MHz. This regulation ensures that UWB solutions transmit at extremely low power, enabling co-existence with other wireless systems.

General Atomics’ UWB technology utilizes a multiband, impulse radio based technique, simple, yet yields high data density per mW of transmit power.  This multiband approach also provides spectral flexibility to address international regulatory standards. Using our novel modulation scheme, Spectral Keying®, General Atomics’ UWB delivers superior multipath performance with low latency.
