General Atomics’ Aspen Wireless USB is a true plug-and-play USB cable replacement solution, requiring no additional software or driver support. This design allows Aspen USB solutions to be used with Windows and Mac PCs. Aspen relies solely on native Operating System USB support to provide connectivity between a PC and up to 8 simultaneous wireless USB peripherals (printers, digital cameras, hard drive, etc.). Aspen chipset supports all four USB transfer types: Control Transfer, Bulk Transfer, Interrupt transfer and Isochronous transfer. Unlike other solutions, Aspen offers Isochronous support for devices like wireless webcams. Other solutions offer point-to-point links with the hub being located at the peripheral end. In contrast, Aspen provides true mobility and convenience by allowing a point-to-multipoint wireless connection between a computer and 8 peripherals simultaneously. Additionally, Aspen’s fast-tracking Automatic Gain Control enables extremely robust multi-path performance in non-line-of-sight environments. For applications where privacy and security are of concern, Aspen provides 128-bit AES encryption. |
